The levels allow the individual disseminating information to pursue alignment between their subordinates towards action. A strategic approach to managerial communication entails proper planning, effective message delivery, creating and sustaining feedback mechanisms, follow-up, and reinforcement. The disseminated message should be based on clearly defined objectives. The manager must understand the audience’s needs. Many stakeholders in organizations occasionally raise concerns that must be addressed when communicating. The managerial staff should also demonstrate an understanding of the expectations and willingness to address them. Message crafting is another key aspect of the planning phase. The management must be ready to develop clear and concise messages. The information must be made relevant by ensuring it aligns with the set objectives.
The second layer, message delivery, is founded on selecting an effective medium. The managerial staff understand the needs and expectations of the organization in comparison with the capabilities of the staff.
